New! A look at 20 Animated Subtitles for Final Cut Pro coming soon

A new title product from BretFX that works with Caption Animator from Intelligent Assistance and Final Cut Pro 11 to emulate synchronized, animated subtitles for Final Cut Pro.

How it works:

Have FCP 11 transcribe your media in the timeline to captions. Add a new BretFX animated subtitle style you’d like to use for your animated subtitle captions to the timeline and tweak your settings to taste. Then, with caption Animator installed, drag your project to the caption animator window, choose the template(s) you added to the timeline,  and select the number of characters per line for your titles. For quick 2-4 word phrases, around 15 characters per line is best. Caption Animator spits out a new timeline with the titles already synchronized. It is using FCP’s timing date to guesstimate some of the synchronization, so it’s not perfect, but considering the cost or subscription cost of other solutions, and the flexibility of editing your animated caption titles directly in FCP, a little tweaking of timing isn’t so bad.
